Decor Interiors came to life in 2007 when two friends, Bill Ferris (shown right) and Mark Samojedny, decided to put their heads together to create an easier, more pleasant online shopping experience for high quality residential and corporate furnishings. Inspired by high-end boutique clothing stores, they set out to create a retail destination that would enable customers to easily find items, colors and styles without sensory overload.
Additionally, they wanted to ensure that customer inquiries were responded to quickly, completely and personally in clearly understood language.
Bill's love of mid-century modern furniture can be traced to Hans Wegner chairs brought back by his family from Europe in the early 1970s. His brother's passion for the Art Deco period and machine-age industrial design rubbed off and continues to influence Bill's efforts to find new and unique manufacturing partners.
Mark brought years of shipping and logistical expertise to the equation, which proved invaluable as Decor Interiors grew from a few lamps and mirrors to over 25,000 items in just a few short years. In 2010, Mark left to pursue a writing career and his first novel, "A City for the Dying" is already receiving rave reviews.
We seek out manufacturing and design partners who share our love of high quality lighting, mirrors, rugs and accent furniture that make a statement. Styles range from shabby chic and hip industrial to streamlined modernist and classically elegant. We continually listen to our customers and evaluate new partners to round out our portfolio. We've even expanded beyond interiors and now carry select lines of outdoor furniture and portable fireplaces for patios, decks and pools.
